The Optimax heating range from Vent-Axia has been expanded and updated to offer customers a wider choice of sizes whilst being compliant with Lot 20 of the ErP Directive. The range offers both panel heaters and storage heaters and is ideal for homes and businesses that are off the gas grid and are looking for an effective and energy efficient heating choice.
The Optimax range has gained Lot 20 compliance thanks to the energy efficient design which meets the requirements of the directive. The legislation, which came into effect at the start of the year, aims to reduce energy consumption of heating products and so help achieve carbon reduction targets.

Now offering a complete range of heaters to suit a wider range of applications the Optimax Plus Panel Heater range has been extended and is available with heat outputs from 500W to 3000W. Suitable for domestic or light commercial use the Optimax Plus Panel Heaters are ideal for smaller rooms such as bedrooms, studies, conservatories and loft conversions. The heaters are also splash proof so can also be used in bathrooms, making this a very versatile option.
Designed with a forward-facing, slotted grille which offers optimum heat circulation the Panel Heaters offer controllable comfort, with every model in the range available with a thermostat control, an integral 7-day timer and adaptive start. The built-in thermostat provides room temperature stability to ±0.2°C, a frost protection setting of 5 ̊C and a thermal cut-out to prevent overheating should the outlet grille be accidentally covered. Simple to install, stylish and slim, Vent-Axia Panel Heaters are wall mounted, occupying minimal wall space, and connected to the permanent electrical supply via a fused connection switched outlet.
Meanwhile, the Optimax Plus storage heater is ideal for off the grid domestic applications including the social housing sector. Offering dynamic storage calculation, the Optimax Plus storage heaters adjust the amount of energy that is stored to meet the user’s requirements without wastage meaning that a greater amount of electricity can be saved with off-peak energy. Providing good comfort and greater control of heating the storage heaters features a built-in seven-day timer which allows heating times and temperatures to be defined. Meanwhile, the heaters are fan assisted to quickly, quietly and more effectively distribute heat. Heat leakage, a common trait of conventional storage heaters, has also been greatly reduced allowing the room to be at a comfortable temperature in the morning and still have enough stored energy to heat at night.

Simple to install wall fixings and quick assembly mean that new installations or replacement of existing units are completed with minimum disruption and the slimline design covers traditional storage heater fixing marks in replacements. Economical to run and virtually maintenance free, they are ideal for use in living rooms, hallways and landings and can be installed in bathrooms outside Zone 2, provided that the installation complies with IEE regulations.
