Job Profile:

The Vent-Axia Specification Sales Manager (London and South East), will be responsible for identifying and maximising sales opportunities with Mechanical Consultancies, Contractors, and Industrial Distributors to increase Vent-Axia sales within the following regions; London, West Sussex, East Sussex, and Kent.

 

The day-to-day role will involve advising, developing and producing ventilation design specifications and product selections with mechanical consultancies, ensuring that those specifications are maintained through the project chain with mechanical contractors and industrial distributors.

 

As a Specification Sales Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • Achieving approx.16 appointments per week with mechanical contractors, mechanical consultancies and industrial distributors,
  • Carrying out project meetings,
  • Providing technical presentations,
  • Daily use of CRM systems and Barbour ABI for project leads,
  • Providing Technical assistance and product selections, quotations and designs.

 

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Experience in technical sales is essential (electrical or mechanical).
  • Experience of engaging and building relationships with mechanical consultants, contractors and distributors.
  • Understanding of the respective product ranges, system designs and selections, current building regulations and product installation.
  • Driven and determined to succeed as well as meet targets and quotas.

Salary: £35 - £45k depending on experience

Job type: Full Time, Permanent 42.5 hours, Mon - Fri 7.30am - 4.30pm

As the Specification Sales Manager, New Build Residential, North East, you will be responsible for the development of sales with nominated Housing Builders / Developers, Off-Site Manufacturers / PUC Manufacturers, Main Contractors, M&E Consultants, M&E Contractors, Student Accommodation and Care Home Developers, covering postcodes NE, CA, DL, LA, BB, TS, DH, PR.

As a Specification Sales Manager, Your Duties Will Include

Generate sales and meet / exceed sales targets from your key accounts:
 
  • Focussing your sales approach through technical solutions, product solutions, VE solutions and CPD communications educating the customer base on the implications of current building regulations and SAP requirements
  • To focus on delivering the mutually agreed general and personal objectives/expectations outlined with management
  • Ensure your area achieves and exceeds budgets set each year
  • Sign new house builders and re-sign agreements that expire
  • Present a minimum of one CPD every other month
  • Attend industry functions such as CIBSE Dinners when required
  • Follow all opportunities from "cradle to grave" - specification to order
  • Communicate with your Distribution, Social Housing & Commercial / Industrial team members and share beneficial information
  • To manage your key accounts base utilising fully the company CRM package to maximum effect
     
What Does Great Look Like In This Role
 
  • Experience within M&E, electrical wholesale, or Housing Builders/ Developers industry or similar technical/manufacturing industry (HVAC, Ventilation) is essential
  • 3-5 years of strong commercial and sales skills, business development and account management experience.
  • Strong technical skills. Can grasp technical issues and can deliver solutions to suit the customers' needs.
  • Understanding of building regulations desirable
  • Strong communication skills using the appropriate method of communication to seek understanding. The ability to build long term relationships
  • Strong organisation and planning skills
  • Measure their own performance and takes full responsibility for results in their area
