Vent-Axia ventilation systems are improving indoor air quality (IAQ) at 614 apartments housing over 1,200 residents at Clippers Quay in Salford. 550 Lo-Carbon Sentinel Kinetic Cooker Hoods, which combine a cooker hood with mechanical ventilation with heat recovery MVHR unit, and 64 Lo-Carbon Sentinel Advance MVHR units were selected. The cooker hoods were specified for the majority of the apartments since there was no extra cupboard space for an MVHR unit. Designed to fit in a 600mm wide aperture above a hob, the unit neatly fits inside a kitchen unit.

With the highest rating on SAP PCDB in its class, the Sentinel Kinetic Cooker Hood is highly energy efficient and also features a SELV unit. Plus, the unit features an integral fire damper, which creates a seal if a fire is detected, and is connected to the heat recovery unit by a galvanised steel duct. Both the Sentinel Kinetic Cooker Hood and Sentinel Kinetic Advance S offer an integral humidity sensor option that increases speed in proportion to humidity levels, saving energy and reducing noise. The Sentinel Kinetic Advance also boasts exceptional performance and features time-saving commissioning and control via a web-enabled App.
