Vent-Axia, a leader in air management systems, has launched a robust Kitchen Axial Fan (KAF) specifically manufactured for the harsh environments found in commercial kitchens. After significant research and development the KAF is designed to operate reliably at elevated temperatures up to 70 deg C while utilising speed control to ensure efficiency.
With impellers manufactured from die cast aluminium and fitted with narrow profiled blades the KAF provides the highest efficiency at the maximum airflow making the fan a cost effective kitchen solution. Meanwhile, innovative reversed airflow helps to cool the fan’s motor allowing it work reliably at elevated temperatures. The robust motor has ribbed aluminium body castings and is designed to be mounted at the front of the fan towards the airstream to ensure maximum cooling airflow over the motor.
In addition, greased for life ball bearings with temperature resilient grease allow the fans to be installed at any angle, adding to reliability and offering kitchen siting flexibility. All motors are also fitted with standard thermal overload protection which should be wired into all controller circuits and into starter contactors in case temperatures rise above 70 deg C.

Fully ERP 2015 compliant the KAF is available from 450mm to 650mm in diameter with an output of 0.65m³/s to 5.93m³/s and with a pressure development up to 600pa the fans are powerful and compact. Performance tested to BS 848 Parts 1 and 2 the KAF is available for single or three phase and all fan models are speed controllable via matched eDemand inverter controls.
Quiet and vibration free in operation the KAF is manufactured from electro welded steel with a tough black epoxy paint finish ideal for harsh environmental conditions, internally or externally. Motors are also protected to IP65 against dust and water jets complying with BS EN 60529. To ensure ease of installation the motor is wired directly into a single IP65 terminal box.
Factory assembled to BS EN ISO 9001, the KAF is available with a standard 2-year warranty that is extendable up to 5 years via registration.
