Vent-Axia, the leader in energy efficient ventilation, has partnered with Surrey-based Mantle Panel Ltd, the company behind the award-winning UK-manufactured environmentally friendly and cost effective Mantle® Building System©. The new partnership will see Mantle Panel specify Vent-Axia’s Lo Carbon™ Sentinel Kinetic mechanical ventilation with heat recovery system (MVHR) for new build properties and light commercial applications, helping to position MVHR as the ideal carbon cutting solution to energy efficient and healthy ventilation.
Vent-Axia and Mantle Panel have joined forces to streamline the supply chain by reducing the number of suppliers and bring significant benefits to new build developments with a high level of insulation. With all buildings being built under the principle of ‘build tight - ventilate right’, optimising ventilation and heat recovery is key to providing a comfortable environment. Vent-Axia’s Sentinel Kinetic is ideal for increasingly air tight homes, offering good air quality and also maintaining it, a key issue in the new Part F of the Building Regulations.
“The objectives of the Mantle Building System are to provide a thermally efficient and structural solution that is fast, cost-effective, green and safe. Its simplicity and flexibility make it applicable across the entire construction industry spectrum. Consequently, we sought out an MVHR provider to complement our objectives and applicability” explains Gary Littlechild, Director at Mantle Panel Ltd. “Vent-Axia sets the ventilation standard and their Sentinel Kinetic solution meets our requirements in every respect. We are proud of our partnership with Vent-Axia, whose corporate innovative and professional ethos will enable our continued growth for the foreseeable future."
Lee Nurse, Marketing Director at Vent-Axia, adds: “We are delighted to announce this partnership with Mantle Panel. This strategic partnership will help both companies grow and prosper. We are looking forward to a strong, successful relationship.”
For new build properties, the Sentinel Kinetic is installed as a whole house, multi-room ducted solution, combining supply and extract ventilation in one unit. Warm, moist air is extracted from ‘wet’ rooms through ducting and passed through the heat exchanger before being exhausted to the outside. Fresh incoming air is preheated via the integral heat exchanger which recovers up to 90% of the heat energy that would otherwise be wasted. The unit’s energy saving Vent-Axia Lo-Carbon™ DC motors further improve its efficiency and carbon reducing capabilities. In addition, the heat recovery ventilation will reduce excessive air moisture, combating condensation and mould growth, saving money on maintenance and decoration in the long and short-term.
Vent-Axia’s Lo Carbon™ Sentinel Kinetic wholehouse mechanical ventilation with heat recovery system consumes less energy than it recovers, is listed in SAP Appendix Q and offers 90% heat recovery, so helping to reduce the DER of new build properties.
Vent-Axia’s comprehensive ventilation range is supported by extensive technical advice, design and ventilation applications expertise. This allows consultants, contractors, specifiers and building owners to understand key legislation and help match the right ventilation equipment to project requirements while identifying possible carbon savings available through Vent-Axia’s Lo-Carbon™ initiative.
