Vent-Axia, a leader in air movement solutions, now offers customers a comprehensive range of Air Handling Units (AHUs), providing a one-stop-shop for ventilation. Following the introduction of Vent-Axia’s high efficiency range of eViking Air Handling units the company’s expanded product portfolio now offers outputs from 1m³/s up to 16m³/s, thus providing solutions for a wide range of applications from residential to large commercial projects.
Offering flexible build solutions, Vent-Axia’s Eurovent Certified range of AHUs allow an extensive variety of modular configurations to simplify installation and meet a project’s individual design parameters. To further ease specification Vent-Axia provides a dedicated project design team and comprehensive design software to support contractors and consultants, providing drawings and data sheets at a project’s early stages. Meanwhile, Vent-Axia offers short manufacture and delivery lead times to help ensure a project meets its schedule and stays within budget.
“Vent-Axia’s products are known in the ventilation sector for their reliability and quality. With our expanded range of Air Handling Units we can now supply products for all our customers’ ventilation needs. Meanwhile, our internal project design team means consultants and contractors can rest assured we will provide them with the correct project solutions. Plus with short lead times we will ensure they receive the right product first time to meet tight project schedules,” says David Cook, Product Marketing Manager Non-Residential, Vent-Axia.
The newest addition to the Vent-Axia range is the eViking Air Handling Unit. Due to its impressive design, the eViking has achieved an A+ energy class efficiency rating and its features include high efficiency fans selected as close as possible to their peak efficiency, high efficiency heat recovery at minimum pressure loss and a range of control options, tailored to customer requirements, to further enhance functionality.
Vent-Axia’s eViking units can be tailored to suit different locations, sizes and applications with outputs ranging from 3.47m³/s to 16.13m³/s. As an example, at the commonly used velocity of 3m/s, an AHU with a section area of 7x6 will provide an airflow output of 12.11m³/s.
The eViking range features a unique panel construction which offers strength, air tightness and incorporates a low density insulation to offer excellent performance without using aluminium frames. The self-contained panel offers a high mechanical strength and casing tightness also contributes to energy savings. It has extremely good thermal insulation and fantastic casing attenuation. The casing mechanical performance is in accordance with EN 1886-2008 and the casing tightness L2 does not need additional adaptation and works across a wide pressure range.
The laminated concept of the eViking allows for the height and width of the AHU to be selected as either vertical or horizontal according to the actual space requirements. The length dimensions of each functional part of the air handling unit are designed in modular grid lengths equalling multiples of 102 mm. The functional parts are then integrated into assembly blocks in lengths equalling multiples of 306 mm. This combination enables the AHU to be designed and specified to suit precise length and performance requirements offering both flexibility and efficiency.
Also key to the Vent-Axia AHU portfolio, Viking XP Air Handling Units are suitable for internal and external applications and have an output up to 7.68m³/s. Available in seven model sizes in either series, parallel or vertical configurations the Viking XP AHUs have a unique modular frameless construction with smooth internal casing which simplifies access and installation with units being delivered in sections for site assembly. External units offer RAL9002 finish, with optional roof, external louvers, special bonding, dampers located within the unit, and protection of base frames.
For smaller internal applications, Viking FP Air Handling Units’ output spans from 0.189 to 1.133m³/s and are available in two model sizes in either series, parallel or vertical configurations. Like the Viking XP the units have a unique modular frameless construction to simplify access and installation and are delivered in sections. Boasting a sandwich construction with 40/25mm rockwool insulation that provides high air soundproofing of casing the units also have thermal casing insulation which reduced heat losses.
