Leading British ventilation manufacturer Vent-Axia is delighted to announce that its horizontal Sentinel Kinetic 200ZPH has been shortlisted in the prestigious Housebuilder Product Awards 2015. Part of the company’s innovative Lo-Carbon range, this new mechanical ventilation with heat recovery (MVHR) solution has been nominated in the Best Brand New Product of the Year category.

Bringing together key personnel from across the sector The Housebuilder Products Awards will be judged by a panel of industry experts. The winners of each category will be announced at the Housebuilder Product Awards lunchtime ceremony on Thursday 25th June 2015 at Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham. The ceremony will commence with a drinks reception followed by a three-course lunch and the awards presentation.

“We are really thrilled to have again reached the final of the Best Brand New Product category at the Housebuilder Product Awards,” said Jenny Smith, Marketing Services Manager at Vent-Axia. “The Awards honour innovation and excellence in UK house building, we are therefore very proud that our products have been recognised in these prestigious awards. At Vent-Axia we are committed to offering the market innovative, efficient products, the 200ZPH is a great example of this.”

Vent-Axia’s 200ZPH is the latest addition to its popular Sentinel Kinetic range of MVHR solutions. Designed specifically for small apartments, the horizontal 200ZPH offers exceptional performance boasting an impressive 86% thermal efficiency and a specific fan power (SPF) as low as 0.62W/l/s. The 200ZPH’s performance is further enhanced by the latest high efficiency backward curved impeller design ensuring lowest possible energy consumption and ultra-quiet operation. Featuring multiple plug and play control options and BMS connectivity, the 200ZPH is also easy to install and maintain.

Developed for modern thermally efficient homes, the range features a revolutionary programmable summer bypass to ensure year-round thermal comfort. The summer bypass is pioneering since it is fully automatic and truly intelligent, a first. The summer bypass is set for both comfort temperature and minimum external temperature. These settings enable the controls to determine whether it is winter or summer allowing it to run without homeowner intervention.

For further cooling the 200ZPH summer bypass has an evening purge feature that boosts early evening and then runs on a timer until about 10pm so there is no nuisance noise at night.

Additional cooling is also available for periods of several days of high temperatures and warm nights. Here the 200ZPH utilises a Night-Time Purge. This allows a home to be pre-cooled for the following day by taking advantage of cooler night-time temperatures.

Combining supply and extract ventilation in one unit, the 200ZPH extracts warm, moist air from ‘wet’ rooms through ducting and passes it through the heat exchanger before being exhausted outside. Fresh incoming air is preheated via the integral heat exchanger. In addition, heat recovery ventilation reduces excessive moisture in the air, combating condensation and subsequent mould growth and improving indoor air quality and therefore occupants’ health.

The Housebuilder Product Awards is now in its third year, the winners from each category are automatically entered into the Product of the Year category at the celebrated Housebuilder Awards in November 2015. Last year, Vent-Axia’s Lo-Carbon Response took top billing in the Best Brand New Product category within the Housebuilder Product Awards and then went on to win the Best Product Award at the Housebuilder Awards.
