Vent-Axia’s new range, the eViking Air Handling units, sets a new standard for equipment efficiency in HVAC applications. The range features significant performance improvements, providing greater reliability alongside a reduced carbon footprint thanks to the integration of energy saving heat recovery technology and high efficiency fans into its design.

Due to its impressive design, the eViking has achieved an A+ energy class efficiency rating and its features include highly efficient fans, motor effectiveness Eff1 (IE2) and impressive heat recovery. The heat recovery can be used as needed; even above 80%, and is designed for maximum efficiency at minimum pressure loss.

Vent-Axia’s eViking units can be tailored to suit different locations, sizes and applications with outputs ranging from 3.47m³/s to 16.13m³/s. As an example, at the commonly used velocity of 3m/s, an air-handling unit with a section area of 7x6 will provide an airflow output of 12.11m³/s.

This range features a unique panel construction which offers strength, air tightness and incorporates a low density insulation to offer excellent performance without using aluminium frames. The self-contained panel offers a high mechanical strength and the tightness of the casing also contributes to energy savings. It has extremely good thermal insulation and fantastic casing attenuation. The casing mechanical performance is in accordance with EN 1886-2008 and the casing tightness L2 does not need additional adaptation and works across a wide pressure range.

Cleaning and service was an important factor in the design of the eViking and this range ensures there is easy access to the internal space on the service side of the new units. Vent-Axia has considered both service access to individual internal components as well as easy cleaning of the units internal space for hygienic applications. There is a double door, easy-to-remove panels, the possibility to deliver disassembled units and easy connection to associated services to ensure these units are easy to service and clean.

The laminated concept of the eViking allows for the height and width of the air-handling units to be selected as either vertical or horizontal according to the actual space requirements. The length dimensions of each functional part of the air-handling unit are designed in modular grid lengths equalling multiples of 102 mm. The functional parts are ten integrated into assembly blocks in lengths equalling multiples of 306 mm. This combination enables the air-handling unit to be designed and specified to suit precise length requirements.

The eViking units are characterised by their long service life and trouble-free operation. With a wide range of surface finishing combinations, eViking units are able to meet high corrosion resistance requirements.
