Vent-Axia, leaders in low carbon HEVAC systems, has announced the appointment of Joanna Smith as Product Marketing Manager with the specific responsibility of targeting the residential retrofit sector.
Joanna joins Vent-Axia from merchant PTS (Plumbing Trade Supplies) where she worked in a number of high profile roles over seven years, including Installer Marketing Manager. She also has experience gained as a Senior Marketing Executive at Jessops, the UK’s premier photographic retailer.
“This is an exciting time to join Vent-Axia,” says Joanna. “There is a real momentum from the Government behind the drive to cut carbon emissions in UK housing. However, to achieve the big gains it is essential that we focus our efforts on making significant improvements to existing homes not just on the new-build opportunity, which is small in comparison. Retrofitting efficient Lo-Carbon ventilation in these properties, and especially new continuous ventilation systems, will make a major difference to reaching the UK’s carbon reduction target”.
Lee Nurse, Marketing Director at Vent-Axia adds, “Joanna’s appointment is a key building block in our future business strategy, helping us to strengthen our position in the refurbishment market. We hope to utilise her distributor experience by improving communication through the channel, demonstrating to our customers how we can help- them succeed using Vent-Axia products and systems.”
Headquartered in Crawley, West Sussex and with more than 70 years as an influential industry leader, Vent-Axia continues to set the standard in controlling the flow of fresh air, its temperature, humidity and cleanliness. Each year the company supplies air management solutions for over half a million installations across the residential, commercial and industrial sectors in the UK and around the world. Today, with an integrated distribution network and the largest customer support staff within the HEVAC industry, Vent-Axia leads the way in improving the indoor environment. The company is committed to a process of continuous development which by 2012 will ensure that all its products and systems fall under the Lo-Carbon™ umbrella.
