New Centrif And Centrif Duo Plus Range To Target Social Housing Sector

Focusing on the specific needs of the Social Housing sector, Vent-Axia has launched the next generation of its popular residential Centrif range with the addition of the Centrif Duo and Centrif Duo Plus centrifugal extract fans.

Vent-Axia, leaders in air management technology, design and manufacture these products to comply with Part F of the Building Regulations for extraction levels in kitchens and utility rooms.

The Centrif range comprises a series of centrifugal fans with 100mm diameter spigots. The new improved range includes the Centrif Duo with a traditional front and integral metal filter. Centrif Duo Plus has a new aesthetic look, improved performance and easy installation, making it the ideal choice when discrete styling is needed.

The new product range is part of Vent-Axia’s ongoing strategy to improve range functionality and adaptability, but also reduce the number of fan lines local authorities need to stock, by offering two speed settings set at installation to suit the room application.

Featuring a new smaller footprint to aid local authorities with location, the Centrif Duo and Centrif Duo Plus can be surface mounted directly into 100mm ducting through the wall using a telescopic wall fitting kit or for ceiling applications, as well as surface mounting; a recess kit is also available, making it ideal for refurbishments. The spigot encloses a built-in, spring operated backdraught shutter, for increased comfort. To further aid installation there is also convenient access for wiring which can be surface or recessed. Meanwhile, a removable grill assembly makes for easy cleaning.

“The Centrif Duo and Centrif Duo Plus represent the next generation of our popular Centrif range of extraction fans. At Vent-Axia, we want our customers to to contribute to product improvements and so we have listened to their requests for increased fan functionality and ease of installation as key drivers within the local authority market sector. Vent-Axia has therefore adopted these factors as the focus for our improvements. ” says John Mercer, Product Marketing Manager - Refurbishment.

Replacement of existing fans has also been a consideration and a decorative frame is available for use where the old Centrif 250 product is being replaced, removing the need for redecoration. A simple frame that is easily fitted replaces the old footprint and the new product mounts in the normal fashion.

The Centrif Duo and Centrif Duo Plus enhance Vent-Axia’s Lo-Carbon™ collection of energy saving ventilation solutions. The aim of the Lo-Carbon initiative is to offer the latest low carbon ventilation technology in order to reduce building in use energy consumption and so carbon emissions.
